Artist Statement
I am an artist married to the idea of using art for social change, rehabilitation, prevention, and as a tool to fight the worst faces of today’s world. One of the ways I express my interest for this is by exploring the human figure through expressive sculptures and prints. In order to portray human feelings and emotions I have chosen to exaggerate facial features, sizes, and textures.

As of right now my goal is to make art that would make people feel something, whatever it is. As long as my art moves the viewer to a feeling, whether it is comforting or disturbing, I would feel the piece has a value. At this point in my life I feel I am an artist with many open possibilities and a few paths still to be explored further, now though, with more knowledge to take more advantage of what I discover. Even though I might still not have what people love to call “my own voice” I am not worried at all about it. In fact, I am quite happy I haven’t found a voice/style because I feel that at this stage that would be a limiting factor. It would definitely stunt the healthy exploratory mood I feel I need right now in order to keep growing as an artist.
